Problem

Freezers and refrigerators are turned on and used 365 days a year. Manufacturers are trying to differentiate their products by adding various functions as well as energy-saving performance.

I can't find Splash Proof Fan is guaranteed to work in low-temperature environments down to -25°C...

Company N, a manufacturer and distributor of commercial freezers and refrigerators, was recently developing a new model of small freezer. Mr. W, a person involved in the development, had this to say:

"A freezer needs to keep the temperature inside evenly constant. To achieve this, it is equipped with a fan to constantly circulate cool air. Flexible customization expands the operating temperature range to -25°C

Mr. W visited the exhibition in search of a solution. He stopped by SANYO DENKI CO., LTD. booth and asked about the issues he was facing. Later, a sales representative from SANYO DENKI CO., LTD. visited N Company and discussed the issues in detail.
"SANYO DENKI CO., LTD. 's sales department suggested that by changing the capacitor and lead wires of our current Splash Proof Fan (*), we could expand the operating temperature range to -25°C. We immediately asked them to make a prototype and decided to evaluate it in-house," says W.

The evaluation results showed that there were no problems with operation or durability in low-temperature environments. Furthermore, the cost was also reduced by only changing the capacitors and lead wires, so there was no significant increase in cost.
"We had contacted several other companies, but we couldn't get any concrete proposals. SANYO DENKI CO., LTD. was able to quickly and flexibly customize the product to meet our specifications, which was very helpful.
