This fan is waterproof and can be used in wet environments.
The motor and circuit board are coated with resin, preventing water and dust from entering the live parts.
The protection rating (IP code) of our Splash Proof Fan series is based on IEC 60529 and applies only to the motor coil and live electrical parts. Mechanical parts other than live electrical parts (such as blades and bearings) are not subject to evaluation, so depending on the conditions of the usage environment such as condensation and water splashing, parts other than those to be protected such as bearings may be affected.
If the product is used in an environment where it is exposed to dust, water, or condensation for a long period of time, please take measures and evaluate the product according to the conditions of use.

The protection rating (IP code) that indicates waterproof performance is a rating from 0 to 6 for protection against intrusion of foreign objects into electrical components inside a device (in the case of a fan, electronic components and motor coils), and a rating from 0 to 8 for protection against intrusion of water. For example, in the case of IP65, protection against intrusion of foreign objects is "6, dustproof," and protection against intrusion of water is "5, protected against jets."
The required protection rating varies depending on the environment in which the product is used, but ratings such as IP55, 65, 67, and 68 are commonly used. Our Splash Proof Fan have a waterproof performance of IP54 to IP68.
